Marysville Bowls Club

The Marysville Trio of Mark Simmons(Skip), Ben Simmons(Third) and Paul Tirant(Lead) won the Association Triples at Cockatoo. The Marysville trio played against another Marysville side in the first match, Brett Roberts side of Chris Roberts(Third) and Jimmy Milner(Lead). Mark Simmons's side just defeated Brett Roberts 16-14 after 18 ends, i would like to congratulate Brett's team as they put up a good fight all day and never threw in the towel!!
The Marysville trio ended up playing the big man himself(Gary Broussard's) team. The Marysville side didn't look much in threat throughout the whole match and had control, they were eventual winners by 7 shots with one end to play. Good luck in the next event at Group level and represent Marysville proud!

GO MARYSVILLE!

Marysville has had a come from behind win against Healesville 1 on their home surface. Marysville went into lunch break being behind by 15 shots, still in with a big chance the Marysvillians came out with enthusiam and the spirit to win. Jenny Tirants rink of three fought back from a horrible first half to only lose by 14.5 shots after deducting 25% of their score against B.Brown. Mark Simmons's rink pulled away from their opposition B.Fisher to win by 14 shots. Dave Stirling's rink only lost by 8 shots against B.Wilson in a very tight match. Ben Simmons's rink had a good win against R. Patterson by 11 shot, this rink finished last and Ben's team did very well considering they were the only rink left on the green with two ends to play and they were .5 behind overall with two ends to go and they got 3 shots in the last two ends.
